Where the Next Generation Learns the Rhythm.

From drumming circles to studio residencies, our programs give young creators the tools, mentorship, and platform to carry our culture forward.

Youth Arts & Music Academy

A free after-school and summer program offering hands-on training in African drumming, dance, visual arts, and music production. Led by working artists and culture-bearers, the Academy gives students 12–18 a creative outlet rooted in heritage.

Heritage Storytellers Initiative

A documentary and oral history program that pairs young filmmakers with elders and community leaders to capture stories before they are lost. Participants leave with portfolio-ready work and a stipend.

Festival Scholars Program

A behind-the-scenes mentorship that places students inside our festival productions — learning logistics, talent management, marketing, and sponsorship from industry veterans. A direct pipeline into careers in live entertainment.

Artist Grants & Residencies

Microgrants and short-term residencies for emerging Black artists, producers, and event creators. Funding when it matters most, with no strings attached.

Community Cultural Events

Free and low-cost concerts, panels, and family events that bring our work directly to the neighborhoods we serve.
